Quality Inspector-Manufacturing

Upper Fairfield County, CT | Direct Hire | 1st Shift | Competitive Pay
Can you do more than find a bad part—can you figure out why it's wrong and help drive the issue through resolution? We want to talk to you.
We are recruiting for a hands-on Quality Inspector within a precision manufacturing environment. The core responsibility is quality inspection, but this position goes well beyond checking a part against a print and issuing a pass/fail decision.

The ideal inspector combines strong technical inspection skills with mechanical curiosity, independent problem-solving and the ownership to stay involved from the moment an issue is identified until it is understood and resolved.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform in-process and final inspection of precision-manufactured components.

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T requirements and dimensional tolerances.

Complete and support First Article Inspections (FAIs) and required quality documentation.

Use precision measurement tools and inspection equipment to verify product conformance.

Identify and document nonconforming product and independently investigate potential causes.

Work directly with machinists, Engineering and Production to understand quality issues and determine next steps.

Follow quality problems from identification through resolution rather than simply handing them off.

Support shop-floor troubleshooting and cross-functional problem-solving when needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Hands-on precision manufacturing quality inspection experience.

Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills.

Working knowledge of GD&T and First Article Inspection requirements.

Experience with precision measurement tools/equipment and tight-tolerance components.

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.

Ability to independently identify, investigate and communicate quality problems.

Comfort working directly with machinists, engineers and production personnel on the shop floor.

Root-cause/problem-solving mentality with strong ownership and follow-through.

Aerospace experience is a plus, but NOT required. Candidates from medical device, CNC machining, automotive, tooling, precision metal and other tight-tolerance manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.

THE RIGHT FIT
This is not an inspection-only role for someone who prefers to stay within the boundaries of Quality. The strongest candidate is curious about how and why a part was made, wants to understand what caused a problem and is comfortable collaborating across departments to get it resolved.
If your mindset is “I found the problem—now let's figure out why it happened and make sure it gets resolved,” this opportunity could be an excellent fit.

Facilities & Manufacturing Maintenance Project Manager

Upper Fairfield County, CT | Direct Hire | 1st Shift | Competitive Pay
Are you the person who sees a problem coming before it becomes downtime? We want to talk to you.
We are recruiting for a hands-on manufacturing professional to take ownership of facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination and improvement projects within a precision manufacturing environment. This is not a traditional desk-based Facilities Manager role—and it is not primarily a CNC repair position.

The priority is ownership: know the facility, stay ahead of maintenance needs, troubleshoot intelligently, coordinate the right resources and make sure the work gets done correctly.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own and drive preventive maintenance across the manufacturing facility, equipment and building systems.

Proactively walk the facility, identify developing issues and address needs before they impact production.

Troubleshoot equipment and facility problems at a practical level and determine the appropriate next step.

Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors for CNC service, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and specialized repairs.

Manage maintenance schedules, service needs and facility projects from identification through completion.

Perform smaller hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks when appropriate.

Serve as the go-to resource for facility, equipment and infrastructure needs across the operation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Manufacturing, industrial facilities, plant maintenance or hands-on facilities/project management experience.

Strong preventive maintenance knowledge and a proactive—not reactive—maintenance mindset.

Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting ability.

Familiarity with CNC or manufacturing equipment strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general building systems.

Experience managing vendors, contractors, service providers and facility projects.

Ability to independently prioritize needs, organize schedules and follow projects through to completion.

High level of ownership, accountability and comfort operating as the primary facility resource.

THE RIGHT FIT
You do not need to personally be the expert who performs every specialized repair. You do need enough technical knowledge to recognize what is wrong, understand what needs to happen, bring in the right resource and ensure the issue is resolved. This is an excellent fit for a mechanically inclined, jack-of-all-trades manufacturing professional who likes being accountable for the entire operation.
If you take pride in keeping a manufacturing facility running smoothly—and prefer preventing problems instead of waiting for them to happen—we would like to hear from you.

 Manufacturing Engineering Assistant

Upper Fairfield County, CT | Direct Hire | 1st Shift | Competitive Pay
Prefer the shop floor to sitting behind a desk all day? Mechanically inclined, curious and ready to jump in? This could be a great fit.
We are recruiting for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Assistant to work across Engineering, Quality and Production in a fast-moving precision manufacturing environment. The title may say Engineering Assistant, but this is not a traditional desk-based support role.

This opportunity is built for someone who likes understanding how things work, solving problems, working with their hands and becoming the person the team can count on wherever help is needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Support Engineering with day-to-day manufacturing, process and shop-floor needs.

Work directly alongside Production, Quality and Engineering to troubleshoot problems and keep work moving.

Read and work from drawings, blueprints and manufacturing documentation.

Assist with manufacturing processes, equipment-related issues and continuous improvement activities.

Move comfortably between the shop floor and engineering/quality functions based on the needs of the operation.

Take initiative when something needs attention rather than waiting for every task to be assigned.

Learn new processes, tools and responsibilities as the position grows.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in how products, equipment and manufacturing processes work.

Hands-on manufacturing, machining, fabrication, mechanical assembly, maintenance, automotive/mechanical or technical experience.

Comfort working directly on a manufacturing floor and getting your hands dirty.

Ability to read drawings/blueprints and understand basic manufacturing processes.

Exposure to CNC machining or precision manufacturing is a strong plus.

Problem-solving ability, curiosity and willingness to learn outside your current experience.

Strong communication skills and ability to work across Engineering, Quality and Production.

Engineering degree is welcome but NOT required; practical mechanical capability and initiative matter more.

THE RIGHT FIT
The best candidate may be a Junior Manufacturing Engineer, Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Engineering Technician, mechanically inclined Engineering Assistant—or someone who built strong technical skills through hands-on manufacturing or mechanical work. We are looking for energy, grit, versatility and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, not someone who wants a narrowly defined desk job.
If your instinct is “I see something that needs to get done—I can help with that,” we want to hear from you.
